LotGuard Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Information we collect
LotGuard ("the app") collects only the minimum needed to provide lot tracking, FEFO allocation, and traceability.
- Shop domain and timezone
- Product and variant IDs, titles, and SKUs
- From order line items, the variant ID and quantity only (used solely to decide allocation and release)
- Lot records the merchant enters into the app (lot number, expiry date, quantity, and so on)
The app does not store personal information about buyers, such as name, address, or email address.
The only exception is recall mode (Pro and Plus plans). When a merchant exports a recall CSV for a specific lot, the app retrieves the buyer's name, email address, and shipping address for the affected orders directly from Shopify in real time, solely to include them in that CSV. This data is never written to the app's database — it is not stored at any point — and every such export is recorded in the app's audit log.
How we use it
The information we collect is used solely for lot-level inventory management, automatic first-expiry-first-out (FEFO) allocation, expiry alerts, and tracing lots during a recall. We never sell or otherwise provide it to third parties.
Storage and deletion
- Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS) and stored in a database on Fly.io (Tokyo region).
- When the app is uninstalled, we permanently delete the store's data on receiving Shopify's deletion notice (the shop/redact webhook, normally delivered about 48 hours after uninstallation).
- We support Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact). The app holds no buyer data for merchant operations. When a customers webhook arrives, we record only the Shopify customer ID and order ID in the audit log as evidence that we handled it, and discard the name, email address, phone number, and every other personal field contained in the payload before anything is written. Those logged customer and order IDs are themselves permanently deleted, together with the rest of the store's data, when we receive the shop/redact webhook.

- ShopifyのGDPR必須Webhook(customers/data_request・customers/redact・shop/redact)に対応しています。
